When there is sagging of the cheeks, and especially the neck, nothing is better than a surgical facelift. Period! But, many do not wish to go under the knife or can’t for medical reasons. Others do not want to foot the bill for such a procedure. Well, there are options that may work for some people.
- Threadlift – The 60 minute facelift: This is great for mild- to moderate sagging in the cheeks. This 15 minute procedure re-suspends the cheeks and lasts approximately 1 year. While improvement can be seen in the neck, it may not last due to the movement of the skin.
- Ultherapy: This procedure utilizes ultrasound waves to tighten the skin. For those with mild laxity, this can be a good option to tighten the skin. Results last approximately 18 months.
- Sculptra: Sometimes sagging is caused by loss of volume. This product is not a filler, but a bio-stimulant, which causes the body to make more collagen. If one needs volume this may be a good option.
- Restylane: This product can be used to add volume to the cheeks and temples. Results often last 12 months.
- Fat Transfer: One can transfer their own fat to the cheeks to add volume with a permanent result.
